RUIN, solo exhibition at Officinet, 25 November – 16 December 2022
The classic exhibition space at Officinet had been transformed into a rough construction-site version of ‘the white cube’. A scaffolding net added contrast and created its own room within the room. Through the net, visitors glimpsed bits and pieces from the exhibition construction: dismantled transport crates, a ladder, an abandoned folding rule … Playing with impressions, the scenario suggested that the exhibition had only just been unpacked or was perhaps in the process of being packed up. This uncertainty sowed doubt about the stability of the exhibition situation itself and underscored the processual character of the exhibition pieces.
