Cubes

The vessel is a ceramic archetype that has existed since the earliest days of humanity, serving both as a functional container and as a symbolic or decorative item.
In Jungersen´s work, the vessel is treated as an abstract geometric structure for the organic movements of the glazes to express themselves. The glazes clearly draw their inspiration from nature – from lava, moss and microscopic organisms – but in many cases, an artificial color scale invites other interpretations of the materiality and adds an aura of man-made materials and contemporary pop culture.
